In mid-September 2019, we had an opportunity to attend the Yardi Advanced Solutions Conference (YASC) in Sydney, Australia. Over the years, we have been to many Yardi conferences around the world, but this was the largest in the APAC region and was well-attended by a diverse group of clients / users, developers, and vendors.
Since 1984 Yardi has been a leader in real estate technology solutions and, based on this conference, they seem positioned to continue their track record of innovation. Products and solutions introduced/ discussed at YASC2019 Sydney include:
- Yardi Kube, a workspace management platform for shared space and co-working
- Yardi Elevate, which provides unique insights and enables budgeting, revenue forecasting and business intelligence to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Yardi Pulse for real-time energy management, and
- Yardi Voyager, the well-established flagship product, which is a fully integrated end-to-end platform for larger portfolios. Voyager features include operations management, leasing, analytics and resident, tenant, and investor service management.
The common theme here was one of “continuous connection” to enable what Yardi calls business-to-property (B2P)—an interactive platform for connecting asset managers, facilities staff, leasing agents, vendors, investors, brokers, and others. B2P will, among other things, leverage IoT and related software solutions to enable property owners and managers to continually monitor and respond to events, perform multi-level forecasting, and simulate interactions among buildings, people and owners.
